What it is

  • A Nichiren sect temple.
  • Founded in 1566 by Nichiryu Shonin.
  • Enshrined Shichimen Daimyojin for village reconstruction.

What to see

  • Main gate rebuilt in 1826.
  • Main hall and kuri rebuilt in 1931.
  • Two Buddhist stupas are tangible cultural properties.
  • One stupa dates to 1726, another to the Horeki era.
  • Detached temple, Kaitani Fudoson.
  • Overlooks the Amino Kaido road.
