Mount Yakimine

What it is

• A mountain standing at an elevation of 1,085.8 meters in Shibata City.
• Also known by the names Yakemineyama or Todaisan.
• The south face is a destination for river climbing in Ujinosawa.

What to see

• Panoramic views of the Iide Mountain Range from the summit.
• A natural spring called Shimizugama located along the climbing trail.
• A memorial monument on the sub-peak of Shuzomine.

Getting there

• Access the main Takiya Ridge route from the Takiya trailhead.
• Parking lots are available just past the Takiya trailhead area.
• A second climbing route begins from the Kajigawa Flood Control Dam.
