What it is

  • Founded in 651 AD, originally named Inari Shrine.
  • Renamed Nakajima-so Shrine in 1896.
  • Designated a 'gosha' in 1872.
  • Many smaller shrines merged into it from 1908 to 1909.

What to see

  • Current main hall and worship hall, rebuilt in 1987.
  • Old drawing and wooden plaque from 1335 survived fires.
