What it is

  • A kofun group from the late Kofun period.
  • Built from the late 6th to early 7th century.
  • Excavated in 1962 by Doshisha University.

What to see

  • Three kofun with horizontal stone chambers.
  • Kofun 1 on the southwest side of a ridge.
  • Kofun 2 and 3 are 70 meters northeast of Kofun 1.
  • Stone chamber of Kofun 1 is 6.6 meters long.
  • Stone chambers of Kofun 1 and 3 use tuff breccia.
  • Artifacts include magatama, swords, and Sue ware.
