Komushi Shrine
小虫神社
Komushi Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to ancient deities, rebuilt in the 19th century.
What it is
- A Shikinaisha (Myojin-taisha) Shinto shrine.
- Enshrines the deity Sukunahikona-no-mikoto.
- Homusubi-no-mikoto and Oyamatsumi-no-mikoto were enshrined in 1877.
What to see
- The main hall, rebuilt between 1873 and 1877.
- Main hall built in the Shinmei-zukuri architectural style.
- Worship hall features a hip-and-gable roof.
When to go
- Annual festival held on the last Sunday of April.
