Komushi Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to ancient deities, rebuilt in the 19th century.

What it is

  • A Shikinaisha (Myojin-taisha) Shinto shrine.
  • Enshrines the deity Sukunahikona-no-mikoto.
  • Homusubi-no-mikoto and Oyamatsumi-no-mikoto were enshrined in 1877.

  • The main hall, rebuilt between 1873 and 1877.
  • Main hall built in the Shinmei-zukuri architectural style.
