Omushi Shrine is a historic shrine with a unique stone pagoda, offering a glimpse into local culture.
What it is
- A Shikinaisha (Myojin Taisha) shrine.
- Formerly known as Mushinomiya.
- Deities are Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, Wakato-no-Mikoto, Ota-no-Mikoto.
- Relocated to current site in early Muromachi period.
What to see
- The current main hall, rebuilt in 1881.
- A stone five-storied pagoda, a cultural property.
- The current torii gate, rebuilt in 1939.
When to go
- Annual festival on the last Sunday of April.
- Kagura and Tachifuri are performed during the festival.
