- Ancient shrine, listed in 927 Engishiki Jinmyocho.
- Main deity is Kamimusubi-no-kami.
- Also enshrines Sugawara no Michizane and Ooba Saburo Kagechika.
- Known as Tenjin-gu or Ooba Daimyojin in the Edo period.

- Temple bell from 1721 on the grounds.
- Bell inscription changed from Tenman Tenjin-gu to Ooba Daimyojin.
