Oyamazumi Shrine
大山祇神社
This ancient shrine, dedicated to the mountain deity, offers a glimpse into Ise Grand Shrine's spiritual heritage.
What it is
- A subordinate shrine of Ise Grand Shrine's Inner Shrine.
- Dedicated to Oyamatsumi-no-kami, guardian deity of mountains.
- Incorporated into the Inner Shrine in 1900.

- A flower-shaped water basin in front of the building.
- The shrine building, rebuilt in March 1924.
- Located at the foot of Mount Kamiji.
