Tateishi Kai Shrine, founded in 1565, honors deities and offers daily spring water.
What it is
- Shrine founded as Ryuo-gu Shrine in May 1565.
- Dedicated to Hachidai Ryuo, Ishigami, and Tsubaki Okami.
- Merged with Ishigami Shrine in 1874.
- The name 'Kai' does not relate to the sea.
What to see
- A Hoju was dedicated inside the shrine building in 2020.
- The shrine performs daily offerings of spring water.
When to go
- Gantan-sai (New Year's Festival) is held on January 1.
