Hongan-ji Kitayama Betsu-in Temple

What it is

• A direct temple of the Jodo Shinshu Hongan-ji sect.
• Founded in 1678 as Hongan-ji sect Kitayama Yogen-ji.
• Became a branch temple of Hongan-ji in 1680.
