Kōshō-ji Temple
光松寺
Kōshō-ji is a Buddhist temple with a history of relocation and earthquake recovery.
What it is
- It is a Buddhist temple of the Seizan Jōdo-shū sect.
- The temple originated from a hermitage built by Ryōgen.
- It was relocated during the Eiroku era (1558-1569).
- Kenku Tōjun Shōnin was invited as the founder.
What to see
- The principal image is Amitābha Tathāgata.
- The main hall was repaired after the 1995 earthquake.
