A historic Tendai temple in Kyoto, known for its Kannon statue and unique architectural heritage.
What it is
- A Tendai sect temple, formally named Ryūun-ji Temple.
- Also known as Shin Zenkō-ji Temple.
- Relocated in 1715 by Fushimi Bugyō Ishikawa Bichū-no-kami Sōjō.
- Moved to its current location in 1898.
