Suhama Shrine is a historic local shrine with a protected holly tree and ancient stone lanterns.
What it is
- The only Shikinaisha in Daito City.
- Formed in 1907 by merging three shrines.
- Currently the ujigami (guardian deity) of Nakagaito.
- Name may come from 'Suhama' (waterside).

- A large, protected holly tree on the grounds.
- Eleven stone lanterns are on the grounds.
- An 1830 lantern serves as a guidepost.
