Renjō-ji Temple, founded in the Tenpyō era, offers unique Buddhist statues and history.

What it is

  • A temple of the Jodo Shinshu Kengoin sect.
  • Founded by Gyōki during the Tenpyō era.
  • Re-established by Ki no Aritsune in the Heian period.
  • Received land from Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1602.
