What it is

  • A temple of the Rinzai sect Kenchō-ji school.
  • Founded in 1341 by Enkō Daishō Zenji.
  • Moved to its current location in the early Showa period.
  • Manages Seisui-ji Temple, which moved in 1689.

What to see

  • A 192cm wooden statue of Senju Kannon.
  • The statue is an Important Cultural Property.
  • The statue dates from the early Kamakura period.
