What it is

  • A head temple of the Nichiren Buddhist sect.
  • Founded as Ryūge-in, a sub-temple of Myōken-ji.
  • Rebuilt in 1544, then relocated in 1594 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
  • Main object of worship is the Jikkai Mandala.
