Ryūsen-ji Temple
龍泉寺
Ryūsen-ji Temple is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple with a relocated main hall and gate.
What it is
- A Shingon-shu Buzan-ha Buddhist temple.
- Kūkai enshrined Namikiri Fudō-son during the Enryaku era.
- Prince Shōun Hōshinnō stayed here in 1302.
- Moved to its current location during the Tenbun era.
What to see
- The main hall, built in 1832.
- The main hall was relocated from Kan'ei-ji Temple in 1954.
- The temple gate was relocated from Kanchi-in Temple.
