Senkoji Temple is a historic Shingon Buddhist temple with ancient statues and architecture.
What it is
- A Shingon Buddhist temple in Toyama Prefecture.
- Founded in 703 AD, one of the oldest in the Tonami region.
- Served as a royal prayer temple for seven generations.
- Reconstructed by order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

- A mountain gate built in 1797.
- Two Nio statues housed in the mountain gate.
- The Kannon-do hall, constructed in 1760.
