What it is

  • It is two shrines: Tomiyoshi Takehaya Shrine and Hachiken-sha.
  • Founded in 733, it is dedicated to Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Kusanagi-no-Shinrei.
  • Oda Nobunaga repaired the shrine in 1548.
  • Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu visited here.
