Suwa Shrine
諏訪神社
Suwa Shrine is a historic site in a green space, known for its unique Onbashira.
What it is
- A village shrine designated on July 27, 1928.
- Dedicated to the deity Takeminakata-no-Mikoto.
- Managed concurrently with Katsushika Hachimangu.
- Received its crest from Suwa Grand Shrine in 1969.
What to see
- The only Suwa Shrine in Chiba with Onbashira.
- Several subsidiary shrines, including Izumo-sha.
- Located in Hirata Special Green Space Conservation Area.
- Many black pines in the Ichikawa Sandbar area.
