Tagi Shrine is a historic site in Gifu with important cultural properties and ancient roots.
What it is
- A Shikinaisha shrine, formerly a Gosha.
- Considered the third shrine of Mino Province.
- Enshrines Ukanomitama-no-kami and Susanoo-no-mikoto.
- Dedicated to the ancestral gods of the Tagi clan.
What to see
- A Nyohokyo-zuka created in 1189.
- A hanging Buddha, a prefectural cultural property.
