Taihei-ji Temple

Taihei-ji Temple is a historic Rinzai Zen temple with a 15th-century bell and ancient ginkgo tree.

- Rinzai sect Myoshinji school temple.
- Founded as Shingon sect temple in 1169-71.
- Re-established as Rinzai sect in 1336-40.
- Protected by Tokugawa Ieyasu after 1564.
