Tennou Temple
天皇寺
Tennou Temple is a historic Rinzai temple with graves of notable Date clan figures.
What it is
- A Rinzai sect Myoshinji school temple.
- Moved to its current location in 1616.
- Its relocation coincided with Yoshioka Castle's completion.

- Grave of Date Kawachi-no-kami Munekiyo.
- Grave of Iisaka-no-Tsubone, Date Masamune's concubine.
- Graves of seven people who committed junshi.
- A gorinto for Munekiyo's foster mother.
