What it is

  • A Jodo Shu Seizan Fukusa school temple located in Nishio City.
  • Founded by Ennin during the Jogan era as a Tendai sect temple.
  • Converted to Jodo Shu by Koyu Etoku during the Meio era.
  • Site of a grave mound and memorial for the warlord Imagawa Yoshimoto.
