Tōzen-ji Temple
東禅寺
Tōzen-ji Temple is an ancient Buddhist temple with historical graves and monuments.
What it is
- A temple of the Shingon-shu Muroji-ha sect.
- Founded by Ganjin in 731 AD.
- Its principal image is Amitābha Tathāgata.
- Was a center for Nanto Buddhism teachings in the East.

- Seven gorintō for Chiba Tanenao and his family.
- Chiba Tanenao's grave, designated a historic site.
- A stone monument from 1756.
