Shrine founded in 1762 by Shimaya Ichibei.
Enshrines Amaterasu Sumiyoshi and Ukanomitama deities.
Designated a Shinsen Heihakuryō Kushinsha in 1915.
Kōtaijingu, founded in 1702, merged into the shrine.
