What it is

  • Founded between 1596 and 1615 by Ikoma Chikamasa.
  • Enshrines a divided spirit of Kotohira-gu.
  • Destroyed in 1923 earthquake and 1945 air raids.
  • Current building constructed in 1963.

  • Worship was traditionally allowed on the 10th of each month.
