Mount Ichigao
依遅ヶ尾山
A 540-meter former volcano in Kyoto offering a short hike to a summit with religious shrines and coastal views.
What it is
- A former active volcano standing 540 meters above sea level on the Tango Peninsula.
- Part of the Tango-Amanohashidate-Oeyama Quasi-National Park and one of the Kansai 100 Famous Mountains.
- A natural formation consisting of Neogene Miocene dacite lava.

- A stone chamber dedicated to En no Gyoja located at the summit.

Getting there
- Accessible by taking a bus from Mineyama Station to the area.
- The climb from the trailhead to the summit takes approximately 40 minutes.
