Ryōshō-bō Temple
了性坊
Ryōshō-bō is a historic Nichiren Shōshū sub-temple, rebuilt multiple times, offering a glimpse into its long past.
What it is
- A sub-temple of Nichiren Shōshū Head Temple Taiseki-ji.
- Founded in 1296 by Daigaku Ryōshō-bō Nichijō.
- Originally named Rensen-bō, renamed Ryōshō-bō in 1824.
