What it is

  • A shrine dedicated to Okuninushi-no-kami, Benzaiten, and Bishamonten.
  • Existed since the late Heian period.
  • Relocated by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1586.
  • Renamed Takio Shrine during the Hoei era.

  • Main hall relocated from Kifune Shrine Okunoin old殿.
