Kuwana Sōsha

Kuwana Sōsha is a historic guardian shrine, home to a UNESCO festival and important cultural properties.
What it is
- A guardian shrine for Kuwana City.
- Also known as Kasuga Shrine.
- Consists of Kuwana Shrine and Nakatomi Shrine.
- Enshrines Amatsuhikone-no-mikoto and other deities.
What to see
- The current main hall, rebuilt in 1984.
- The Romon gate, rebuilt in 1995.
- A bronze torii, a tangible cultural property.
When to go
- August for the Ishidori Festival.
